It’s important to remember that even healthy teeth aren’t stark white. Tooth shade varies from person to person, much in the way skin tone and hair color varies.

Teeth Whitening: Safe and Effective

Professional teeth whitening uses a peroxide-based gel to penetrate the tooth enamel and break apart the staining compounds. In concentrations of less than 15%, peroxide safely whitens teeth without damaging the tooth enamel. Some sensitivity can occur, but most whitening agents contain a high uptake of fluoride to offset this potential side-effect.

For take-home whitening, we create custom trays that form to the contours of your teeth. Fill the trays with the solution we provide and wear them as indicated for about two weeks. Refill the trays as needed for future whitening touch ups. Dentist-supervised teeth whitening ensures predictable and satisfactory results.
